ABOUT RIDGWAY
Nestled between the Cimarron and San Juan mountain ranges, Ridgway is an one of Colorado’s most unique up-and-coming mountain towns and truly a hidden gem. Originally a railroad and ranching town, Ridgway has withstood not only the test of time, but continued to adapt with the times and is flourishing as a recreational and cultural haven. Located on Ridgway’s interconnected bike path, you can travel in either direction, with easy access to Colorado’s largest state park, Ridgway State Park and the renowned Ridgway Area Trails (RAT) system, or to the beautiful Hartwell Park in downtown Ridgway. Truly everything you need is right out your door.

With the neighboring mountain communities of Ouray, Silverton and Telluride being an easy drive away, access to world renowned ice climbing, backcountry skiing, world class resort skiing, and glorious nordic trails is all at your fingertips. - and that’s only a hint of winter! Consider the warmer months recreation of mountain biking, hiking, running rivers, fly fishing, jeeping and more.-
Food + culture
The great outdoors is not the only thing Ridgway has to offer. Quickly becoming a known entity on the “foodie map,” the small town boasts over 10 restaurants ranging from historic American to Costa Rican cuisine! Toss a new craft beer brewery, and vegetarian bakery, there is much to explore in Ridgway’s culinary world.
Within our region are two historical theaters offering a wide range of programming in terms of live music, theater, films and much more. Be sure to check out the Sherbino Theater in Ridgway and the Wright Opera House in Ouray to learn more. Furthering the arts, Ridgway is a Colorado Creative Industry, a special designation of only a few unique artisan communities. (Not to mention, world-renowned festival mecca, Telluride, is less than an hour away)
